The burning bush teaches us that although the ground was cursed in Genesis 3, it can become holy. It shows us that God has ways to get our attention. It shows us that God is master over his creation and its laws. Someone please tell Matthew that.
A “Believer”? In WHAT? In WHO? These men are speaking about the Bible and about being a “believer”, but not one mention of Christ Jesus~~Who is what the entire Bible is about~~~the Savior Who shed His blood for the forgiveness of sins to give eternal life to all who will BELIEVE on Him.
Sorry Mathew, but the core message of the Bible is not about YOU and YOUR mortal life. It’s about THE PERSON AND FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST AT THE CROSS! It’s telling us that we’re all sinners in need of salvation, which is only found in Christ Jesus, Who shed His blood to save all who BELIEVE on Him.
Jesus said you must be born of God's Spirit. Once that happens then you will read the Bible and understand it, as opposed to reading it and trying to apply it.
How does one be born of God's Spirit? Understand you're sick with sin and need a doctor, Jesus is the Dr to cure you. We're all sinners and we've all fallen short in the things we've done. But that's why God (Jesus) made himself a man took the punishment that we deserve died on the cross and rose again 3 days later and defeated death. All you gotta do is confess those sins to God (not a priest) believe Jesus has done it all and trust in Him with all your heart soul mind and strength. God exchanges your sin for forgiveness. Gives you a new heart a new mind with new desires, read His instruction book (bible) do as it says, don't be a hypocrite and say you follow Jesus and still lie cheat steal comit adultery etc that's not repenting and turning from your sin. That's a hypocrite taking advantage of Jesus's name. That's quite evident in the world these days.
Best decision of my life, I've never had such love and peace before. Not gonna tell you it's easy cos it's not. You're going into a spiritual war and the battles can become full on. You must count the cost of following Jesus, and it will cost you alot, but the joy of knowing God that awaits you is so worth it!
Don't say God won't/can't forgive cos I used to do horrendous things drugs alcohol etc plus a lesbo plus more! There ain't nothing he can't and won't forgive if you are genuine in your confession.
What's stopping you from knowing Jesus? Don't believe me, ask him yourself…he answers prayers..
