Im of Sioux ancestry but I live in Oregon next to the Umpqua river so this was in the heart of the Umpquas homeland. They never raised a hand toward a white man yet the last full blooded Umpqua, a 14 year old boy was chased up Little River and murdered by a mob of settlers. Just heartbreaking. Im shedding tears as I type this.Truth.
They wanted more than just the gold,they wanted the prime real-estate. The most fertile lands for crops. They did what they still do in different forms. Sacrifice some people for others….
The native Americans enslaved other tribes and were brutal as hell… they actually liked some Europeans… Indians Lives Matter
