It’s just weird because couldn’t they have pursued their profession, found a husband/wife and been a bit of an epicurean and still followed the Commandments and behave with integrity in this life. I just find it weird. They really just prematurely decided it seems to me that if they were going to enjoy life they had to go the whole hog and become terrible terrible human beings in the process.
I just don’t get why no one thought ‘yeah I’d like to achieve xyz but I want to be a nice person too’ Is it really that unusual, mind blowing, strange or eccentric? ….
Why is that the weirdest thing in the world?..
People are rapists and I didn’t want to be that way.
