The word firmament(רָקִיעַ) can also be translated as dome, the firmament is a dome. If you do a google search for firmament, Wikipedia will tell you “In Biblical cosmology, the firmament is the structure above the atmosphere, conceived as a vast solid dome”.

They are FAR MORE than sensitive enough to measure the rotation of the earth. Guess what THEY DO – They ALL read EARTH ROTATION . IN FACT – If I put one of these on a level table and gather 60 seconds of data I can tell you the LATITUDE of the table ON THE GLOBE . Lookup LN-200 Fiber Optic Gyro if you would like to know more about this 1980s Technology . These are used on Commercial airlines and guess what the "aliveness test" is for these airlines to perform BEFORE they can take off? They have to hold the aircraft STATIONARY and verify that the FOG reads EARTH ROTATION . If they DO NOT read earth rotation the gyros are BROKEN. And BEFORE you even try to argue with a Flight Avionics Test Engineer with over 20 years experience working on these types of gyros – At LEAST do your research first
