Luke nailed it saying Jon Jones is the GOAT in terms of ACOMPLISHMENTS, because they stack up over time. But there was no one as FLAWLESS as Khabib in UFC.
You can argue that his flawlessnes would've been tested if he went to 170 for example, but from Khabib's resume as it stands, he barely got hit.
What's more crazy is how he looked more beatable (Tibau) in his early career, than towards the end. AKA made him into a monster.
Jon Jones = eye pokes and steroids. Not a goat that's for sure. I still like the guy, but he can't be a goat with steroids usage. He shouldn't even be a practicing fighter with steroids usage.
Elephant in the room, these guys don't do that many official fights, for example, Khabib (GOAT candidate from this video) has 13 UFC fights. Even if one had really close to 50/50 odds of winning a fight there is a chance of a few people going 13-0. People talk as if they would win every time because they have done so for years. Years passed, but he only won 13 fights. MMA doesn't have something like the amount of frames played in snooker, or the objective measure of score (time) like in Athletics. Fighting is chaotic, there are fights people won, where on a different day they would have lost, there are people who disagree with judges on results. I don't know the stats on rematches but Mc Gregor lost then won vs Diaz, won then lost vs Poirier, Adesanya lost then won vs Pereira etc. Never mind UFC are more of a promotor than a organization for meritocracy, otherwise Aspinall (or someone younger we haven't even heard of) would be fighting Jon Jones for that title.
Why do these guy not think coke is performance enhancing?
