Geez I’m born and raised in Texas. Literally EVERY business I shopped at or worked at had TONS of illegal immigrant working back of the house. Some were my friends and all confirmed they got paid “under the table” less than minimum wage. And there were MANY areas/bad neighborhoods that they could afford with those wages. Dfw Texas, that was about fifteen years ago when I left. And before, way into the 80s as far as I know. It’s just the way it was. Everyone acts like it’s some new nefarious thing. It’s old as hell, and the Texas government is only making a thing of it because they have nothing to offer their constituents and immigrants are their scapegoats for not doing their job and hiring the immigrants themselves for modern day slave labor. They want you to mad at immigrants for existing when they were the ones who probably invited them. Goes for all border states. They don’t care if the citizens go after them. There’s more slave laborers where they came from willing to take the chance coming here every day!
Moved to Texas for a while and watched them sweep illegal immigrants from their communities after bitching about them for years and then import them for slave labor and do the whole thing all over again every couple of years. Worst Hypocrites I've ever seen. And on top of all that sweetness I got turned down for rental because I didn't want to go to the church that that person went to. Nice. I'm still convinced that that's how they drove down the pay they would have to give to their illegal workers

And this is the contributing reason the college graduates are not able to own their own homes that's just wrong
