  1. Let's be careful we don't project personal biases when interpreting the Bible. It can be dangerous when saying things like men should act like men and women like women without being clear what that means. Too many have unbiblical views on such things, views such as men shouldn't cry or women belong in a kitchen (unless it's a professional kitchen, in which case it is no place for a woman).

And as for long hair, Paul says even nature shows its shameful for a man to have long hair but is that what Paul is really saying? What about lions? Pretty sure the male has the long hair. What about men like Samuel and Samson? Both Nazarines from birth thus had very long hair, (until Samson allowed his to be cut). It was part of the Nazarine vow to not cut their hair during the duration of their vow.

As for women teaching or having authority, Deborah was a judge and a prophetess this having civil AND spiritual authority and we are told to obey ALL earthly authorities (in the Lord, meaning, so long as what they ask doesn't conflict with the word of God).

As for a woman being saved in childbirth, could Paul not be speaking of the church? Believers, whether male or female must be born again AND when the goats and sheep are separated at Christ's return, the faithful, again male or female, are judged by how they live/loved and that list sure is full of nurturing, "mothering" acts (feeding, clothing, comforting etc.).
