This show originally aired on Oct. 18, 2017. This is part two of a series I did with Brian Godawa on my radio show. In it we discussed Preterism vs Futurism views of the Last Days. In this one we focused a lot more on how Scripture should be interpreted. Is it all literal? Is it “poetic” and “metaphorical” or perhaps a combination of all of the above? What about ideas of dual-fulfillment prophecy? These were the questions we tried to tackle in this one, while leaving room for much more dialogue to come.

Regarding the 6 year old understanding… He told us that He is not the author of confusion. I believe that tells us not to read it as though it's a poetic novel.
I believe this verse undoes any argument a preterist argues.
Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
So what they are saying is that the destruction in 70 A.D. was worse than the flood.
context? law or grace! new into old skin – Does anyone understand propitiation? not atonement. the author of confusion is? either Jesus took away ALL sins or none! the only thing left is believing or rejecting Jesus as savior – imo. so / faith would say thank you would it not? paul was persecuted for teaching grace or antinomianism — or license to sin — news flash we ALL sin quite well without a license. I really would like to drive a stake into this do vs done concept – as for the hyperbole in scripture — exaggeration is at times there to illustrate a point – mainly that we can test ourselves to be certain our election is real – that GOD's sprit is in us leading and guiding us into ALL truth concerning Jesus Christ — if this isn't happening in our individual lives then perhaps a visit to the grammatically incorrect vs of 1st john 1:9 would be in order! where in context does apply- consider the culture of law at the time it was written then consider to whom it addresses – nostics! 1st john 1:9 – the real read is a aorist proclamation – if we believe HE (Christ) is faithful to HAVE forgiven our sins and cleansed us? So when are we going to put this in perspective either its law or grace but not both! so let us each of us make our election and calling sure- first we are called to Christ then sent to the world – no more sacrifices no more atonements
JESUS paid the ransom – once for ALL or He did not ! the author of confusion is ? not CristJesus.loveyou guys –best wishes — lmk I have some really good teachings by Bob George on law n grace – and one hyperbole to think on: they catch monkeys by opening a coconut with a small hole — attach a chain — fill it with nuts – the monkey reaches grabs the nuts and will not let go! thus he is caught! LET GO OF THE LAW (EXCEPT FOR EDIFICATION IN UNDERSTANDING GOD) HOLD ON TO "GRACE" THE FREE GIFT FROM GOD – you didn't earn it cant repay it — just enjoy it and give thanks for it — FAITH ALWAYS EXPESSES ITSELF SAYING "THANK YOU". — SHALOMYour both confused!
