Have you read Ezekiel 26 and 27 lately
Futurists force the book of Revelation into being literal in every aspect – BUT – they completely spiritualize the VERY FIRST verse:
"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must SHORTLY come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
Compare chapter Rev 22 verse 10 with Daniel 12:4 and Daniel 12:9.
Rev 22:10: "And he saith unto me, SEAL NOT the sayings of the prophecy of this book: FOR THE TIME IS AT HAND."
Now look at Daniel 12:4: "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."
Daniel 12:9: "And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end."
In Matthew 24:15, the Messiah told His disciples: "When YOU therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)"
This clearly means the book of Daniel was UNSEALED during the days of Christ. Christ told them to read AND understand the book of Daniel.
Daniel's book was unsealed after 490 years. The angel tells John NOT to seal up his book – because THE TIME IS AT HAND.
Yet we are to believe that thousands of years pass and Revelation has not been fulfilled??? So let's take ALL of Revelation literally. Where's your consistency futurists?
