I could be wrong but the Septuigent referring to the trial of Jacob as the "straitness" (note there is no "gh")may not necessarily mean straight as in straight path or straight as an arrow but strait as in narrow passage or strait as in restrained (think straitjacket )which makes more sense bc it follows saying the yoke (restraints ) are broke off.
