The story of Joseph and the blood on his tunic seen by his father, then the story of Pastor Doug seeing his son's blood on the bulldozer reminds me of something that happened to me. Although my brother did not die. I was working in a local ER doing graveyard shift. I just got home, when my mother called me to tell me my brother was on his way to the ER where I worked with a terrible stab wound! I got dressed and rushed back to the hospital, as the day shift was working, and arrived minutes after my brother in time to see my co-worker being rather rude to my other brother, and twin to the one who was stabbed!
I just butted in and told my co-worker I would take over, and filled out the computer admittance form myself, and then witnessed the signatures myself, and went back to see my brother, upon seeing all of his blood on the floor, it finally hit me how badly he was injured, and that he was being rushed to emergency surgery! It made me sick looking at my own brother's blood all over the floor. Blood did not usually bother me, but seeing my brother's blood everywhere did. I almost passed out. The nurses where shocked to see me in street clothes and back at work, when suddenly they made the connection as did the ER doc. They rushed a wheelchair up to me to catch me. Then my boss suddenly realized as did my fellow co-workers that I had just admitted my own brother to the hospital for emergency surgery after he had been knifed at a bus stop!
It was the ONLY time I got sick at the sight of blood on the job. Technically I was not supposed to be working. I have never forgotten that incident. The real miracle was that my brother had his nerve cut 8cm and they figured he would lose all function in his hand/arm. In a mere 5 months, that nerve grew back all the way to his hand to restore function! NO neurologist had ever seen this happen before when a nerve is completely cut in two. This happened some 30 years ago, both brothers are still with me. WE all love Jesus!

Pastor Doug, you are preaching as gospel your supposition. You are preaching catholic ideology that Mary had no other children so as to perpetuate the falsehood that she was an everlasting virgin. The bible used the word step brother freely. It does not do so in the case of Jesus' brothers and sisters. Jesus made it clear to his family that his father's work was his priority, above family obligations. Why should Jesus entrust his mother to his unbelieving siblings? Jesus also had the option to entrust his mother to an older faithful disciple prior to his crucifixion. Please stick to biblical facts Pastor Doug. As adventists we are not to take creative liberty with God's word. May God continue to bless your ministry.
