Beware: Lithium batteries can and do explode FYTube

Had a very sobering morning. It’s quite terrifying to wake up to the sound of smoke alarms, then to open your bedroom door and find your living room full of smoke and stuff catching on fire. So, please take heed to this warning: check your smoke alarm batteries, be sure you have a good fire extinguisher handy and DEFINITELY do not leave your external, spare, Lithium cell phone/iPad batteries on a charger overnight or left unattended. They can and do explode.

  1. Hello Rob, this doesn't pertain to your battery post. I was at the Arcadia Park didn't get a chance to talk with you I was the guy with the loud dog that I had to take back to the car. I wanted to know if you have any plans for the 2024 eclipse because I would like to get groups of people together in different states to send up high altitude balloons during it, and just wondered if you might have contacts with someone that is organizing events or if you're doing it yourself please get back to me cuz this is something I want to do for a while. The last great American eclipse I brought my drone and fluid as high as it would go to try to catch some footage of the supposed penumbra of the Moon and right at totality my software crashed which was strange hasn't done it since so I believe it was something electromagnetic like a small EMP or just EMF waves from the Sun and Moon haven't figured it out yet. But would really like to get a lot of people together for the 2024 eclipse, what's your plans for that eclipse?

  2. My mom was sleeping with her cell phone charging under her pillow…and couldn't figure out why her phone was getting so hot…she was asking for a death wish for sure right there. Awareness of how to deal with these gadgets are important most people don't bother to read warning labels. smh
