  1. Brother Preston. You have now repeatedly said that a given word, term or phrase, need not appear in scripture for the doctrine to be true. You have said it in your videos and in the comment section. Here is your last comment on the subject.>>>

"First of all, I have answered your question by showing that the Bible does not have to give a specific word, term or phrase for a doctrine to be true."

For years now you have made the phrase, "the End of Time" a major point in your eschatological teachings. You have emphasized the fact that the exact phrase does not appear in scripture. (double standard anyone?)

I think a stronger argument could be made for the term, "End of Time" than for the term, "New Israel." After all, the term "End of Time" has been used and accepted for centuries by some the best bible scholars in the world.

You attempted to justify your unbiblical phrases by comparing them to terms like "the Trinity." And you say they are harmless.

Words like "trinity" and "premillennialism" are convenient terms to quickly identify a whole theological position. They are useful when having discussions. But they are of no value when going into a text to do exegesis. No one ever substitutes "premillennialism" for a given word in a verse. But it is different with terms like "New Israel." These terms can be substituted for other words in a verse when doing exegesis. Just like the term "End of Time." That's why they should be tested before considered doctrine.

Dr. Preston, you said Brother Pope was guilty of being disingenuous. But if you continue to say the term "End of Time" should not be allowed because the exact term is not found in scripture, it is you who are being disingenuous. Peace!
