The Tampa Bay Buccaneers old orange jerseys brought me to look up what a Buccaneers was and brought me to this video.

Thank you for saying what I've wished for decades more people understood – that the buccaneers were privateers NOT plain pirates and that they were specific to the Caribbean and ONLY in the 1600s. It sets my teeth on edge when I hear someone like Capt Kidd referred to as a buccaneer.
