  1. The fact that people are still humoring the idea of trickle down economics in 2023 is honestly disheartening. The second you think these CEOs are acting in any kind of humanitarian benefit, you've already lost at life. You can read paper, after study, after book, of economists debunking trickle down economics, yet there's still clowns out there like Joe convincing people who don't know any better that it works. You're not punishing the 1% either by having progressive taxes. Who is going to decide not to become a billionaire because they have to pay 20% taxes instead of 5%??? Joe is acting like in a progressive tax system, the tax rate scales proportionally with income…so if standard rate is 10% tax for income of $100k, then someone making $1M makes ×10 more and therefore pays 100% tax and makes $0 while the person making $100K makes $90k…this is a brain dead understanding of how progressive tax works for obvious reasons. Of fucking course the tax rate does not scale proportionally with income, so no, you are not "punished" for making more. The CEO still makes WAY more than their workers in a progressive tax system.

  2. "i dont work today as when i was 20 or 30.. ok he is 67 basically what he is telling you: he has slaves that do all and he gets the money . that a thing millonaires hardly confess. it´s funny because then John and him realize the issue and to change it: and start talking about how many time he sleeps bla bla bla. they dont work, they just have the profits. and yes it´s right: those mega yachts or ships.. have owners.. and have passangers.. probably he doesn´t mention it!

  3. Everyone misses the obvious solution for “using influence to change law”… we default to “restrict the capitalist”. Why don’t we insulate and restrict the law makers to prevent this dynamic?
