  1. The taxi industry in South Africa have always been very powerful, even during Apartheid. When their Union says we are striking everything stops in the entire country, still today. Competition for taxi territory is fierce and likely driving the assassinations, they also kill a lot of people on the roads in one long Easter weekend they can kill over 1000 people in just that weekend with accidents caused by swerving across multiple lanes to drop or pick up passengers, they stop wherever they want , no one tells them where they can stop or how to drive, they also overtake long lines of slower vehicles then squeeze in at the last second with an oncoming truck bearing down on them, no fear.

  2. She was probably a lot safer than she thought she was. An assassin who gets paid 80k a hit isn't going to smoke a female journalist over a tough question. He was just trying to scare her I think
