  1. Very important things about the Lord’s prayer.

    Matthew 6:9-13 (KJV) (also Luke 11:2-4)

    9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

    [God is called our Father because he created us, and because he loves us as his dear children. The Biblical God is called Adonai YAHWEH, El of Abraham, Isaac and Israel.]

    [Hallowed be thy name, God’s name involves God’s authority, which involves obeying God’s commandments and having the testimony of Jesus Christ.

    Thus hallowed be your name also means hallowed be your commandments, it also means hallowed be your seventh day Sabbath. Those 144,000, in Revelation 14, who have the Father’s name in their foreheads means they obey the commandments of God including keeping the seventh day sabbath, and they also have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

    You can also check:

    Isaiah 56:6 “Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;” [To hallow the name of the LORD includes also loving the name of the LORD)]

    [Ezekiel 22:26 (KJV) Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. (Here we see that, not keeping the sabbath day holy is one of the things that profane the holy name of God. Hallowing the sabbath day is one of the ways of hallowing the name of God).]

    [John 17:6 (KJV) I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. (Manifesting God’s name means making God’s name to be known. Note that knowing the name of God, goes hand to hand with keeping God’s word. Keeping God’s word includes keeping his 10 commandments, which include keeping the seventh day sabbath holy).]

    10 Thy kingdom come,

    [In Mathew 19:17-21 Jesus told him “…if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments…Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. That is he should keep the commandments of God and he should follow Jesus. To “enter into life” is another way of saying to “enter into the kingdom of God”. When the kingdom of God comes, those that will enter into it, are those who keep the commandments of God and also have the testimony of Jesus Christ.]

    Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

    [Thy will be done in earth, he wills that people should keep his commandments, and should believe the testimony of his Son Jesus Christ. The commandments include also hallowing (keeping holy) the seventh day sabbath, which starts at sunset Friday and ends at sunset Saturday.

    Here we can also see that his will is done in heaven.]

    11 Give us this day our daily bread.

    [In Luke 11:3 it says “give us day by day our daily bread”. When the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they ate manna which fell in 6 days, and on the sixth day the amount of manna that fell was for 2 days, they used this manna in the sixth day and stored a portion for one day, to be used on the seventh day (the sabbath day). Manna did not fall on the seventh day.

    Here we see that God is the one who gives us our daily bread, and he wants us to rest on the seventh day and to use the seventh day to worship him. And he will give us our daily bread on the seventh day, even if we won’t work that day, we will not lack anything.]

    12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

    13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

    Thus our Lord’s prayer is linked with keeping the commandments of God, and having the testimony of Jesus Christ.

    Revelation 15:4 (KJV) Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

    [“Glorify thy name” means hallowing thy name. “Judgments" include the 10 commandments of God.]

    Isaiah 66:22-23 (KJV): 22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

    23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

    Isaiah 56:1 – 7 (KJV) 1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. [“Judgement" includes the 10 commandments of God]

    2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

    3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Lord, speak, saying, The Lord hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

    4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

    5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

    [“Give them an everlasting name” means he will give them eternal life, he will bring them into the kingdom of God. Matthew 25:34 (KJV) Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world]

    6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

    7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
