Many people reading the Old Testament encounter various groups mentioned in the narrative. The Old Testament identifies and describes several peoples, asserting that their ancestors were even relatives and brothers of the Israelites. One of these peoples, who shared fraternal ties with the Israelites, were also known as the people of Edom. They consisted of various tribes composed of descendants of Esau’s sons and grandsons, giving rise to a distinct community in relation to the Israelites.
Responding to the requests of many subscribers to our channel, in this video, I will discuss the current whereabouts of the descendants of Esau. Those familiar with the figure of Esau in the Old Testament often associate him with the biblical description portraying him as a very hairy, bearded, and red-haired man. However, it is common for people to think of him as red-haired, although the Bible does not confirm this characteristic. In reality, when examining the biblical terms in Hebrew and Aramaic, we discover that the reference is not to the color of his hair but rather to the tone of his skin.
Esau was born ruddy, reddish, but biblical translations depict him as red-haired, leading to variations in interpretation. An interesting curiosity is that, in comparison, Jacob was born with less hair and a less reddish skin tone. When Rebecca was pregnant, something fascinating happened. She noticed that her pregnancy did not follow the usual course. Unique sensations emanated from her belly, something that did not even compare to the experience of a woman pregnant with twins. Faced with this, she sought divine guidance, directly questioning God about the enigma that surrounded her. It was something so extraordinary that it required divine clarification.

F.B. Meyer, in his little commentary on the life of Jacob, begins one of his chapters by saying, “Brothers were these two men, yes, twin brothers, but brothers could not differ more widely. Before their birth, their difference was foretold. At their birth it was evident. From their birth, it began to broaden and increase. The linked hands of the brothers reaching across the tiny reel of their earliest infancy were soon parted as the stream of life widened between them. And they passed to their destiny along opposite banks.”
No two brothers could indeed be more different, it would seem, than Esau and Jacob. These other opposites, however, illustrate some crucial aspects of human life. They represent two views of life. In the case of Esau, there is the man of the world. In the case of Jacob, there is the quiet man. Esau is the man whose god was his belly, to use Paul’s expression in Philippians chapter 3, and “Jacob is the man whose God was Jehovah,” to use one of the psalmist’s expressions.
Esau sold his soul for a meal because he had no imagination for spiritual things, once he did that he clinched eternal separation from God.
Hebrews 12:16-17
16 See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. 17 Afterward, as you know, he was rejected when he wanted to inherit this blessing. Even though he sought the blessing with tears, he could not change his actions. Those tears had to be some of the most pathetic in all the Bible.

The Edomites which is now Saudi Arabia was esau's descendants.
