You guys don't even have a model that works – you can 't even agree on how it works. HINT: That is because it does not.
Instead of attempting to debunk our moon that is a shiny glossy featureless sphere…..(oh, wait, it is a dark, low albedo surface with craters etc. Hmmmm….you did not even use a basket ball)
Did you shine a light on a basketball? Or even one painted dark grey? no. You used a rendered glossy sphere.
How about shine a light on an unpolished spherical rock? Did you do that? Nope. So fail.
* How does the moon generate its own light? Phosphorescent? (nope, would show up in absorption spectra) Little elves (they need a job when not working for santa) with torches? Nope, would show up as point sources in infrared.
*Why are the craters in shadow?
* Why do the phases of the moon PERFECTLY match the heliocentric model, yet don't even remotely work with the flat earth model.
* In your model because of the sun moon placement – people in different parts of the world should see a different moon phase – but they don't ; why?
* How do we get a new moon in the flat earth model? Did the magic elves turn off the light?
* If the moon and sun are both 3000 miles up, how do we get a solar eclipse? A lunar eclipse.
You don't need a $52 million a day budget to see the earth is not flat. Ancient man did it with sticks and understanding of math.
you could do it with a small telescope, and a sun filter.
Instead of saying how your model can answer all the questions the Heliocentric model does, you try to use failed logic to attack it.
Sorry, if the math is hard – but the eclipses all work in the Heliocentric model – otherwise we would not be able to predict them. How big a duh is that.
Please take an art class – perspective does not lower an object, or curve a surface as you try and use it – it is a proper noun – it causes convergence, not lowering of just one side.
how about trying to prove your model;
* Can it predict the next eclipse, at a specific city, to the very minute? Heliocentric model does, accurately.
* Can it be used to predict accurate sunrise and sun set? Heliocentric model does, accurately.
* How does your model account for the stars rotating in different directions in the hemispheres? At the same time (when multiple places in different latitudes the southern hemisphere are in night) Heliocentric model does, accurately.
* How do you account for mercury going both in front of and behind the sun? Heliocentric model does, accurately.
* How do you account for venus going both in front of and behind the sun?

* How do you account for the forces of physics using actual science and math to account for planetary retrograde. No saying "this is how it travels" does not cut it, show the actual models, and formula. The real model can, and uses real physics.
* How do you account for the fact the sunlight stops on your model after 6000 miles at an abrupt terminator. Heliocentric model does, accurately.
* Why can't you see the southern cross in the northern hemisphere, yet you can see stars just above the horizon – which have to be at the edge. Heliocentric model does, accurately.
* How do you account for the rotation of sunspots on the sun, and the fact all people on the earth at the same time can see the same sun. Heliocentric model does, accurately.
* What is the sun? Please explain what it is, based upon its composition of spectral analysis (something you can do yourself, you don't need nasa). Heliocentric model does, accurately.
* The heliocentric model is predictable to 100% accuracy – from transits to retrograde to eclipses for specific latitudes down to the 30 seconds of accuracy. Can your model do that? Nope.
The reason any two flat earther argue about the model, is because NONE of you know any science, and the model does not work.
Note: there are billions or globeheads – and yet, somehow, none of them argue about how the heliocentric model works. Hmmm….why is that.
Oh, lets see how many actually have to know what the earth looks like (and thus are all in your conspiracy).
* There 13 countries with space agencies. Somehow, all are 100% in agreement on how to perpetuate the conspiracy that has daily updates.
* 533 people reached Earth orbit, 24 traveled beyond low Earth orbit and 12 walked on the Moon. Space travelers have spent over 29,000 person-days (or a cumulative total of over 77 years) in space including over 100 person-days of spacewalks.
All in on it? (I know one of them – yes, the ISS is real, he really went. Lucky bastard….).
* Even pakistan has satellites in space.

* There are over 20 ACTIVE space probes RIGHT NOW. Two space stations (although the Chinese stations is a bit small so far)
* There are over 80 private companies with satellites in space. Think of all the technicians, engineers who built, and monitor those (not to mention the thousands of people who get the signals from space directly). All in on it?
* 130,000 commercial airline pilots in the world. ALL of them have to know how to navigate and use advanced flight systems – ALL Of which use the globe earth. ALL IN ON IT?
EVERY.SINGLE.ONE?
* Every single international ship captain – who has to sail around the world – not to count their navigators, and anyone who knows how to use any of their communication or navigation systems. There are over 52,000 ships in the worlds merchant fleet. ALL IN ON IT?
* Every single meteorologists in the world. Yes, they would have to know how to read a map, and understand satellite images – many in real time. they would ALL have to be in on it.
* Seismologists – they study the interior of the earth and earth quakes – and understand it is a globe. There are thousands of stations in the GSN (global seismographic network), and tens of thousands of scientists, researchers and college students working on monitoring, analysis data processing and research.
* Hundreds of thousands of amateur astronomers – who don't have to rely on "evil nasa" or anyone else for data.
The scope of the deception would be beyond any endeavor ever attempted in human history, with billions of fake data points, pictures and millions of participants – with tens of thousands of new images needing to be faked every day.
Soo…are all those hundreds of thousands of people all in on it? Or are you just primitives living in ….(I was going to say bronze age. bit even they had figured out basic astronomy) ignorance.

The reason why the full moon seems evenly lit is because the surface of the moon is a highly diffuse reflective surface and it is also very uneven. Even on those parts of the moon that receive shallow angle sunlight there are surfaces from mountain and ridges down to boulders and even small rocks are are have sides facing the sun and thus reflect the light more brightly. The overall unevenly angle surface adds to an average uniform light level for the moon.
Sunlight is not different from moonlight in some wierd way that can cause 'cooling'. Visible light is photons of a particular range of wavelengths. They are packets of energy and thus when they interact with the electrons in a material they pass their energy to the electron which can then absorb or re-emit that energy in the form a reflected photon. This is just Physics, the sun and moon have no 'special' kind of light.
The phases of the moon correlate with where it is in its orbit around the earth, a perfect match for the heliocentric model.
Referring to the Bible is as meaningful as referring to the Lord of the Rings. The myths and fables of primitive people thousands of years ago has no meaning for understanding the real world.
No Flat earth models account for eclipses. When you put the correct sizes and distances of the sun moon and earth in the calculation the prediction exactly matches observed eclipses. Also the motion eclipse paths across the earth matches the globe earth model perfectly.
The flat earth concept would also make such phenomena as lunar eclipses and the transits of venus and mercury impossible. I have observed both using my home telescope and you don't need a telescope to see a lunar eclipse.
The only mystery is why anyone believes the earth is flat.
