Flat earth, for the win!
The horror of 'earth' being at the centre of the universe as expressed by Hubble is man is somehow pretty special. Why should that be? God. The enlightenment was mans escape attempt from judgement and that horror suddenly hit Hubble. The enlightened man is the one in the dark.
