Pocahontas didn’t meet the white settlers with resentment and violence, but instead with compassion and love. She would even stand in the way of her own father and chief to save the life of one colonist and was said to become well liked and adored by the English settlers.

You tell this story leaning toward her being treated well, choosing the English colonists and choosing to be a Christian. The BOTTOM line is this. She was human trafficked and raped. They kept her against her will. AGAINST her will. She was used in her marriage. King James should have felt honored to be in her presence, not the other way around. And the English people not being impressed with Pocahontas isn't a big surprise. Trust me, indigenous these days aren't impressed by anything the English ever did. Lol
The Disney animated adaptation of Pocahontas did injustice to her. She's on heroes wiki of Fictionalized versions of True events.
