Correction – it was NOT Written In Paleo-Hebrew (as you claimed in min.2:58ff), according to a specific statement by Dr. Scott Stripling. Dr. Stripling contends it is written in an earlier form of script that he is presently calling, "proto-alphabetic", which he believes is probably an earlier form of Hebrew; earlier than the existence of what we know as Paleo-Hebrew.
If you have a question about this, listen to Dr. Stripling correct Ted Wright of Epic Archaeology, when Ted calls the script Paleo-Hebrew. (min. 31:25ff).

To call this script Paleo-Hebrew diminishes and detracts from the significance of the discovery, so I wanted to make this point clear.
The text on the lead defixio is not in Paleo-Hebrew, but in a text earlier than Paleo-Hebrew, high lighting the idea that this artifact is older than artifacts found with Paleo-Hebrew inscriptions on then, thus giving strong evidence to it's antiquity before the Iron Age. We strongly suspect that Paleo-Hebrew what a later text that developed/evolved from this text/script.

Interesting point where they found it – in the slag they had already sifted and discarded. Either due care wasn't taken, or someone realised what it meant, then threw it away. Wrong narrative.
