Baptismal question:
Sorry I missed the livestream. But regarding Baptism:
*How is it that we find John the Baptist baptizing people in the river and ((clearly he's been doing it for a while..because the Pharisees & Sadducees go to the river to see what he's up to)) and people are being immersed in water and getting their sins forgiven by John. How is it that all these people know (PRIOR to Jesus) that this dunking in the water was a new form of forgiveness since Jesus had NOT been baptized yet to provide an example to the world of this new form of baptism? After all, up until Jesus' baptism…all the world only knew of sacrificing lambs as forgiveness!
So my question is: How did folks know (back then) about water-submersion BEFORE Jesus came forward and provided himself as the ultimate example??? Thank you and God bless your ministry. 😇
