for hundrets of years the vatikan/church used the bible to control people and push their agenda, steal property and money from people to support their own agenda, starting wars and kill tousands of people. to this day there is a huge library full of who knows what, kept secret by the vatican. Now you say NASA lies, I say the bible/vatican lies too, and they lie for a much longer time then NASA could ever do. The church tried to cover up heliocentrism, knowing that at first people would move away from the idea of a allmighty creator if they'd come to realize they do not live under a dome being the center of the universe.
