Dear pastor Doug I didn't understand Esther chapter9.
1.verse 6. Why the Jews killed and destroyed five hundred men?
and verse 10. The ten of Haman the son of Hammedatha. The Jew's enemy. Why Jews killed them?
2.moreover when the king asking Esther in verse13. Esther ask the king let it be granted to the Jews who are in Shushan to do tomorrow also according to today's decree. And let Haman's ten sons be hanged on the gallows. Why Esther ask this? What is the meaning of it?
One point is the LORD is merciful But Why when killing in the Old Testament are very ruthless?
The other point is in King2 chapter 14 verse 6 it says the fathers shall not be put to death for the children. Nor the children be put to death for the fathers. But every man shall die for his own sin. Therefore I cannot understand that Esther asked to kill Haman's sons.
