I think many women would prefer having a bed to themselves at this time. It must have been VERY difficult to control the 'flowers' in those times, even lying still. It also removes temptation to 'discover the flow'.
Lev 16.16 so everytime a man had sex, or was truthful about the trespass of self 'pleasure', does that mean he just has to avoid anything holy eg the sanctuary/offered meat, or that he (and his wife) literally have to tell everyone they cannot touch them? If so, every one would know how often this happened – and in the case of several wives- with whom.
