4. The "four huge beasts" at Daniel 7 that "came out of the (symbolic) sea" (and NOT the Mediterranean Sea) or restless, unstable, often radical masses of mankind (see Isa 17:12, 13; 57:20, 21) are the same world powers at Daniel 2, that is illustrated through "an immense image" made up of various metals.

   In Daniel's prophecy at chapter 2, these started with ancient Babylon (that was like a lion with wings of an eagle, but its wings were plucked out, Dan 7:4, showing it in the beginning of powerfully rushing to take over other nations under King Nebuchadnezzar (reigned 625-582 B.C.E.), see Jer 25:17-25, but slowing down considerably at the end, like "a man" under Nabonidus and Belshazzar his son, loving pleasure rather than conquest, see Dan 5:1-4), with King Nebuchadnezzar as "the head of gold".(Dan 2:38)

   This was replaced with Medo-Persia (as "the bear that ate much flesh", Dan 7:5) in October 539 B.C.E. (Isa 13:1, 17; Jer 51:1, 28; Dan 5:28) as the "chest and its arms of silver" that began under the reign of King Cyrus (reigned 559-530 B.C.E.) as the dominant king.

   Medo-Persia was then taken down by Greece in 331 B.C.E., when Alexander the Great defeated Darius III at Gaugamela, not far from ancient Nineveh. Greece was ' the abdomen and thighs of copper ' (Dan 2:32) and as "the leopard that had four wings…..(with) four heads", Dan 8:20-22, depicting being stealthy, swift in taking over other nations, "coming from the west crossing the surface of the earth without touching the ground", Dan 8:5, especially under Alexander the Great (reigned 336-323 B.C.E.), Dan 7:6, whereby, after his death, the empire was divided up among four of his generals.

   And then the Grecian empire fell to Rome (as that which is "fearsome and terrifying and unusually strong……devouring and crushing", Dan 7:7), with Syria (that became a separate ruling power in 301 B.C.E. under Seleucus I Nicator, after 32 year old Alexander the Great died in 323 B.C.E.) becoming a Roman province in 64 B.C.E. as well as Egypt (that came under the control of Ptolemy Lagus also in 301 B.C.E.) in 30 B.C.E., so that Rome as ' the legs of iron ', became the next world power, reigning until 476 C.E.

   These four world powers of ancient Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome were preceded by two more world powers, first Egypt and then Assyria.(Isa 52:4) The last world power at Daniel 2, of "the feet and toes of iron mixed with soft clay" (Dan 2:43), comes through "the small horn" of Britain, seen at Daniel 7:8, that has "eyes like human eyes in this horn, and there was a mouth speaking arrogantly", and grew into ' the bigger horn', Dan 7:20, as the Anglo/American world power as the 7th and LAST world power that came into existence in the 20th century, with the United States taking precedence on the world scene.

   And these seven world powers are the "seven mountains" seen at Revelation 17:9, 10, in which all of them have held sway over God's people, starting with the nation of Israel in the 18th century B.C.E. by Egypt, down till today of United States.

   But the Anglo/American world power is seen at Daniel 2:41-43 as a seriously "divided kingdom", especially over the past decade, and in which "the kingdom will be partly strong and partly fragile", because of its makeup, that "just as you saw iron mixed with soft clay (that is easily changed or molded in a different political "direction"),"

   "they will be mixed with the people (that can easily be reshaped, like soft clay, into a new political "government"), but they will NOT stick together, one to the other, just as iron (depicting being firm, having political strength within itself and around the world, that keeps it from falling apart) does not mix with clay (or by those who challenge the United States "iron" political status with radical political views)."

   Daniel 2:44, 45, gives the outcome of the 7th and LAST world power, saying: "In the days of those kings (of "the feet and toes of iron mixed with clay", Dan 2:33, the Anglo/American world power) the God of heaven will set up a kingdom (in 1914 C.E.) that will never be destroyed."

   "And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will CRUSH and put an end to all these kingdoms (the 7th world power, along with the rest of the political system, see Rev 19:11-21), and it alone will stand forever, just as you saw that out of the mountain (God's sovereignty) a stone (God's heavenly Kingdom) was cut not by hands (or NOT through divisive politics),"

   "and that it crushed the iron, the copper, the clay, the silver, and the gold. The Grand God (whose name is Jehovah, see Isa 12:2, KJV) has made known to the king what will happen in the future. The dream is true, and its interpretation is trustworthy."

   When this "crushing" of the political system that is the creation of "the dragon", Satan the Devil (Rev 13:1, 2), is complete at Armageddon (Rev 16:14, 16), the ONLY survivors will be those wearing symbolic "white robes", denoting their righteous standing before Jehovah and waving symbolic "palm branches" before him, denoting their wanting to be at peace with him as his children.(Rev 7:9-17)

   Thus, at Romans 10:13, the apostle Paul wrote, quoting Joel 2:32: "For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved" during "the great tribulation".(Dan 12:2; Matt 24:21)
