  1. Wow, I wish I had of known you were in Tucson Rob. Ironically  I live north of Tucson's Oracle road and Highway -77 way out in the desert. FYI, the southern part of Oracle road splits and that road is called… Miracle Mile! Oracle road leads north to a little town called Oracle in the foothills of the huge mountains we have here. It was named Oracle after the Oracle mine back in the day. And I wouldn't be surprised if the old coot who had the claim named it after the Oracle in the Temple of Apollo. There is gold and silver in all these mountains and you would have driven thru the suburb north of town called Oro (gold) Valley.

  2. Rob, you have great information. But the in the end there is only one relevant question, and it is not about anything historical, astronomical, geometrical or whatever, but only, as the old greek said, if this life/world with all its pain is something that better should not be. And if it was something that should better not exist, then the judgement on its creator (if he existed) would be accordingly. It is OBVIOUS for anyone who has eyes to see and who can feel any empathy, that this world/life should better not be. The truth about anybody praising a creator is, that he does it in fear of him. Why, as Arthur Schopenhauer asked, did this creator stir up the holy nothing and created all this endless pain? Only someone who is evil without limit would have done it.So god or satan makes no difference, it's the same. It doesn't matter if the earth is flat, but that the belief in a good and loving creator of it is flat, stupid matters. It is even worse: It's evil itself. Ans so are the reactions of all these wonderful believers who happily (wet) dream of "god's anger" about and brutality for the ones "in the endtimes" who do not believe in a good creator.
