On the Question regarding Revelation 21:1 …"and there was nolonger any sea"… I think it is important to consider the immediate physical context of John who was on an island prison surrounded by a sea as he was getting these visions. The sea was an object of his torment, being denied liberty and the embrace of loved ones there by this sea serving as "prison walls". So here he is now getting a vision of the new earth, the ultimate reward promised by the savior, and he is happy to see that there is no longer the sea, the "barrier" in this new earth which will soon be his new habitation according to the promise.
