The term Kush holds multiple meanings, referring to both skin tone and a geographical region associated with the biblical character Kush. It likely signifies black or dark-skinned individuals and is connected to the African continent, particularly Sudan and Ethiopia. Kush played a fundamental role in repopulating the world after the flood, as the eldest son of Ham and one of Noah’s first grandchildren.
Kush was entrusted with the task of giving rise to diverse peoples and colonizing the new world following the destruction of the pre-flood ancient world. From the lineage of Kush, various nations, peoples, and tribes emerged. Among these, the historical Kingdom of Sudan, known as the kingdom of Kush in Antiquity, is one of the most prominent.
This Kingdom serves as tangible evidence of the connection between Biblical history and geographic history. The kingdom of Kush had two main urban centers, NEPA and Maroi. Initially, NEPA served as the capital, and the kings of Kush were often buried in pyramids in this city. However, the capital was later moved further south to Maroi.

These Kushite pyramids have distinct characteristics differing from the Egyptian pyramids, with steeper angles due to its geographical location.
