The members always were showing off their new tattoos.
I've been around SDA ALL MY LIFE and am a SDA CHRISTIAN , grandmother taught me when I was young not to put anything under your skin , I'm now 63 with zero tattoos, anybody who ever asked me why I don't have any tattoos I would tell them God never wanted me to have one .
It's not what a TRUE CHRISTIAN SHOULD EVER DO .

I got the number 777 tattooed on my hand, I wanted it tattooed on my face, but the tattoo artist refused to do so. I was in a very bad mental health episode when I decided to do this. I deeply regret it and plan to have it removed soon.
I like how Doug brings up the prohibition against consuming blood. Most Christians are oblivious to what they eat. I don't think, however, that the primary reason for the dietary laws (given to Israel) were for health purposes (as much as they were for keeping them separate from the surrounding culture of Idolatry.) It served as protection. Same goes for many of the other prohibitions regarding appearance, clothing, etc..
