Yes, people are unwittingly born into 'sin' so in a sense, we are totally 'innocent'. However we have to do certain things to be saved – first is, accept the sacrifice of Christ which is not enough, if you read Romans 2:6-8. 'God will repay each person according to what they have done.' There is no mention of salvation solely by believing in Christ here. It's about 'works'. Finally, for those living in the last days, there is a 3rd requirement to be saved, which is NOT accepting the mysterious 'mark of the beast.'
YAHshua told the Rich Young Ruler what he must do to be saved, and so must you.
