What is profoundly disappointing is that the "move to the country" meme may have worked in EGW's day, but land is now very expensive and is quickly becoming the domain of the rich and idle. A reasonably sized piece of land, with some water (river/stream) and trees, up here in Canada, can easily cost a half million dollars without improvements. Add to that the cost of building a home, outbuildings, water well, solar, etc. and you are pushing a million dollars. There is less expensive land that is VERY far afield… but then I can no longer work because the commute is not remotely possible.
Lord please prepare my mom and I for country living together or apart near Christ-minded Remnant Christian Adventist people, yet hopefully together and not apart, for we are not in agreement on Christian country living and our budget is so very tight, that we do not wast realtors time, in locating to the right place for all the right reasons as a witness for Jesus Christ productively, on our budget until the Sunday Law is Passed, and the Mark of the Best is passed, on our own land, near people who may not get tired of us and we would not offend them, without being accused of being unrealistic
