The second death hasn’t happened yet. Revelation 20:14 States that “ Death and hell were cast into the lake of fire ,this is the second death.” There are two resurrections and there are two deaths. You might want to read The Great Controversy page 544. And for those of you who are not Seventh-day Adventist take a look at the sanctuary service in the Bible. Jesus took the penalty of sin which was death, but the scapegoat /Azazel ( evil spirit/ father of evil/ Satan ) had the blood placed on him and was led out of the camp never to return to the camp after the death of the lamb. Leviticus chapter 16. Some Christians say the scapegoat was Christ, was Christ evil? Was Christ the devil? The sacrifice that gave its blood is not the same as the one cast down /
Outside the camp into the wilderness. Jesus died in our place. He took the penalty for sin so we could live and go to heaven ( back in God’s favor, back into the fold /camp). Azazel is another word for democratic or a demon.
Are any of us absolutely sure when we die which resurrection we will be in? Take a look at Matthew 7: 21 to 23. We need to each one daily examine our hearts and talk with God , asking forgiveness and guidance. See First Corinthians 15: 28-34. First kings 19
Jesus asked Mary not to touch him yet because he wanted to stay. Clean after his death and not be defiled: he represented our high priest as well as the sacrifice. He had to go to see his Father to make sure that the sacrifice had been accepted. His fear was not the second death that was what he faced. His fear was eternal separation from his father and sin’s sacrifice not being adequate in God’s judgement. The second death is perishing forevermore. Revelation 20:5-6 and then 21:7-8 contrast these two deaths. Jesus, being holy ,died the first one. Consider this verse: Mark 16:7 Christ knew that he would rise again.

The 24 elders mentioned in Revelation 4:4 are again mentioned in Revelation 5: 6-10. Verse 9 says they were redeemed by the blood and they shall reign on the Earth. Those from the Unfallen worlds have no need of redemption. Also, they would not be ruling here on earth.
