Just out of curiosity, who stands to gain from lying about the shape of the earth? I suppose I am curious as to the "why" behind the "lie". It seems to me that there isn't an organization that is profiting from the idea that the earth is round. Full disclosure, I am not a flat earther, just wondering about the motivation for those that believe differently from me.
I hate the fact that they were teaching me a lie..
How do you explain the meteor that damaged your brain so badly few years ago then?
For non-Christians, agnostics, atheists, and even more liberal minded Christians, this is a hard video to watch. The first part is interesting, but the experiment is about social conformity, not whether you believe in a flat or global earth. But the second part regarding Jesus and Christianity is, to me, unneeded propoganda. I cannot see why Christians need to believe in a flat earth. It isn't necessary in my opinion. If you want to "save souls" and preach Christianity, do so without invoking flat earth theory and anti-NASA sentiment. There is plenty of scientific evidence for a global earth, none of which goes against the basic tenets of Christianity.
You just showed why more and more people believe in flat earth. People not trusting the "man". So they start believing in an alternative reality. Doesn't matter the thousands of years ago civilization knew the earth was round. And the math can prove it.
