The contradiction between chapter 1 and chapter 2 genesis is because it was written by those from the Semitic race. The Semites like Jews, Assyrians, Aramaeans and Arabs wrote based on function and allegory. Not unaltered global history but local history.
And some say genesis 1 is just a ran down summary and genesis 2 is a reiterated version with details.
This is also false.
Genesis 1 was the creation of the globe and humans in general.
Genesis 2 is the creation of Eden and our priests Adam and Eve.
An example of the locality theory is the bible says in hebrew a hebrew word for land or world not globe or universal world. So in that perspective only the middle-east was flooded.
Something lost on people who aren't Semitic speakers like Aramaeans, Amharans, Akkadians, Amorites, Ammonites or Israelites who would pick up on this in their Semitic texts
It only seems contradictory to us because we are not Semites therefore we are destined to misunderstand the Bible
