Keeping the Sabbath for two weeks in a row. A little step yet took the first step and I pray God that I can keep all His commendments out of love, joy and happiness.

Brother Batchelor, please consider this valid understanding of the time period of Yeshua's crucifixion. He prophesied that, as Jonah was 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of the fish, so would the son of man be 3 days and 3 nights in the earth. This would need to be fulfilled exactly or his self testimony would have been false. My belief is that he was crucified on Wednesday, the eve of the Pesach Shabbat. That would explain reference to the Sabbath in question. Mary Magdalene and rhe others would have purchased what was needed to annoint his body on Friday. They would then have observed the normal weekly shabbat. Then, according to the gospel accounts, they approached the grave before the sun had risen on the first day. Yeshua, by this time, had already been resurrected. That would give his prophecy credence, having fulfilled the full 3 days and nights foretold. What are your thoughts on this?
