Homie lost me with all the “AI monitoring your health 24/7.” thanks, I’ll take my chances with a healthy diet and exercise.
To constantly ask for laws (established and enforced by a government) to protect the public from these irreparable actions is a fruitless endeavor.
In a capitalistic and materialistic society, with a democratic foundation and mindset, governments are becoming nothing more than a broker and clearing house for corporations (be they agricultural, medical, and military entities). In the most capitalistic sense, the government is an expensive and inefficient middle-man. To keep requiring government to keep corporations in check is increasing socialism. To ultimately have government control the corporations, or worse have the corporations "own" the government, is basis for a tyranny.
The public is realizing this. Imagine if corporations would realize this. The only roadblock (cost) to corporations would be the loss of the immoral, unhealthy, and inhumane activities against the public that help keep costs low and profits high. But… is the cost reduction of no government a greater gain than what is gained by knowingly harming the public?
The public and corporations could find a balance on their own together, circumventing a bloated, inefficiently expensive, idiotically ineffective government. If we'd all start being honest with ourselves and with each other, we may yet find a way. ❤
