I worked in Sacramento at a carwash there was a family in a van and they looked at the water spraying like they never seen water spraying before. the look on their faces was so weird and the vibe was scary almost. ill never forget that and always wondered what kind of people were they. they were like almost albino white which made it weird.
A few years ago I went to a Burger King and talked to a man who appeared homeless just outside the entrance.
He said nothing at first until I asked him if he was hungry. He said he was and I invited him to join me for lunch.
I let him order what he wanted and added it to my bill. I asked him if he minded if I prayed before we ate and he was fine with it.
We ate and talked about God and religious topics, he questioned some of my beliefs but I remained firm and he seemed satisfied at that.
I asked him if he needed anything after we had eaten and I drove him to a CVS to pick up the things he needed.
The only thing we could not find was a new T-shirt, his was pretty worn. I asked him if he liked the one I was wearing, it said "I ❤️ NY".
He said it was fine, I took it off and gave it to him. I put on a wrap I had in my truck to cover myself and said goodbye.
He had told ne earlier his name was Nate, but as he was leaving, he turned around and said, "By the way, my name is Nathaniel."
It seemed odd the way he said it, kind of like he was sharing something important with me.
I got in my truck and turned around to back up safely and looked to make sure he was out of the way, but he was nowhere to be seen. It was a large parking lot but was empty of cars, I looked everywhere but he was gone.
It called to mind that Nathaniel was a Biblical name and I still feel that I had entertained an Angel that day.
