This is what I also have a problem with. It is obvious the story was written by a man or men who also were misogynists. I don't care if it's in the Bible. The Bible was put together long after these things supposedly happened. I find it hard to believe that the home they knew had been blown up like an atomic bomb. Their mother had turned to a pillar of salt. The men they were supposed to marry had abandoned them. They went to one place and all of a sudden Lot decides is time to leave that Zoar for reasons known only to himself. Was zore similar to Sodom? Did the people absorb not like? Lot. In spite of that, they were people there who his daughters could have married. But good old lot. Decides to move base camp to the mountains. Now they're living in a cave. The last thing would on my mind if I were living in a cave would be to have sex with my in order to jump start civilization again. You're living in a cave. You don't know if an animal is going to return to the cave to live. You have nothing to eat. You have nothing to keep you warm. No fire. Your possessions are just what you can carry with you and the clothes on your back. Why anybody would decide we have to jumpstart humanity and use dear old dad, as the sperm donor to me is ludicrous. This was done. No doubt to instill and to young females, they're obligation to be submissive and to obey the patriarch of the family. Conveniently however, is the fact that they get lot drunk that wipes him clean from any of the repercussions. Ever since Eve ate the apple women have been blamed for everything that went wrong and men have conversely been heralded as the saver saviors of the day. They couldn't quite pull it off with lot offering his daughters to the sodomites to save the angels. That was a hard sell and it never went over. These young girls did not take it upon themselves to have sex with their father. I wonder if that even happened. As I said, it's suspicious to think in order for this to happen they had to get him drunk. That means poor old lot was raped by these young girls who have a twisted in mind and take on things because they lived in Sodom so long. Well lot lived there too. Many a time when a man in modern times loses his wife and he's either too lazy to go out and get a new wife. If he has daughters he will be incessed you with them. It happens all the time because females to this very day are looked upon as being nothing. Young women who are hired in foreign countries to be made have reported over and over again that they are raped by the man in the house and this is considered part of their responsibilities. If they try to escape they are prevented. Their passports are confiscated and they are locked away. Until they capitulate to the desires of the men in the house. The women of the house don't care. They consider it's less work for me. I don't care what they do with them. They were disposable. In the story of lot, when the two girls are referred to as the younger of the two and the older of the two, they have no names because they are considered less than nothing. The writer of these stories didn't even take the time to give these young girls names because nobody in the jewish faith or the christian faith would ever name their daughters after lots daughters. That is why that happened. There is no way to legitimize this. You can spend doctorate all you want, but this is to me the worst story in the entire Bible. It is meant to subjugate female species to such a low status that they shouldn't even give second thought to preserving. In some cases their virginity or their dignity. The same happened with Sarah who was married to Abraham. When it was determined that Sarah could not have children because she was too old, she gave her handmaiden, Hagar to Abraham who gladly impregnated her and produced his firstborn, Ishmael. Ishmael. I don't know any woman who willingly is going to hand over her husband to another woman. In spite of the fact of she's fertile or infertile. It just doesn't work that way it doesn't preserve the sanctity of marriage. It doesn't preserve the family. You can twist it any way you want. It is wrong and it is a sin because if it's not a sin then why is adultery considered a sin? That's exactly what was going on there. Later on Hagan Ishmael were banished to the desert and supposedly started the Arab Nation. They got kicked out of the tribe. Also, in order to paint Hagar a bad person, she taunted her pregnancy in front of Sarah. Supposedly her son Ishmael was a bully to Sarah and Abraham's natural born son, Isaac . That way it legitimized the banishing of Hagar and Ishmael into the desert to fend for It's sort of tossed away in the Bible that they almost died but they made it. They found an oasis so all's well that ends well . Again, it never ceases to amaze me. How the mistreatment? Of the female species of the race of human beings is always less than the male. They are supposed to sacrifice repeatedly for the greater good and somehow the greater good always is advantageous to the male of the species. Never once is it to their advantage to be on top and that is why Lilith's supposed sin was the fact that she wouldn't be subservient to Adam. More specifically, she didn't want the missionary position. She wanted to be on top, so she was banished. And instead of just letting her go her own way, she was demonized by the Jewish and christian religion. The Christian religion didn't have to do so much because this was in the Old Testament, but they just kept silent and let the continuum of the representation of Lilith go unedited. Adam ended up with Eve who also supposedly betrayed. Adam with the serpent in the garden. A lot of people who don't believe this anymore. Think that what she was told was knowledge and women are not supposed to know anything. They're supposed to be stupid, mute and compliant. Keep your head down and just do what you're told and is. Somebody gets older. That's pretty hard to do when you know the person who's telling you what to do isn't as smart as you are and that they have an agenda that will never be to your advantage. It isn't about the family unit. It's about control. Much like human bondage, but the only one who is in the bondage roll is the female. The glass ceiling and modern society is still exists. Some women are given positions of power. Much like the way that blacks were hired by a company just to show that they were not a bigot. So if they hire a black woman that kills two birds with one stone, doesn't it. You're supposed to honor the Bible without questioning it. Believe what you're told. I believe God gave you a brain and he expects you to use it and if you don't then that's your tragedy.
The way this is whitewashed by saying women females. Whatever you want to call them. We're undervalued is minimizing everything here. If you were born a female, you were less than human and in some countries today that is still the status quo. In India. It's cheaper to burn your wife alive than to get a divorce that goes on in many villages and is condoned by the village leaders. I wonder how lots daughters felt about three and thrown to the crowd. The crowd is one thing but to have your own father turn on your life that is unforgivable. The fact that lot awakens his future son-in-law's and tells him to take the daughters away amazes me. He thinks more of these young men who he is not related to. Then he does of his daughters. Lot. Probably wishes he had had sons and not daughters because daughters are nothing but a burden and are only good to be traded off like a prize brood mare. I noticed lot's wife is never consulted about what should happen to these girls because lot's wife is no more than a chicken laying some eggs that produces whatever produces. Her eggs produced females and as we know science now says it's the male that determines the sex of a child, not the female. However, in those ancient times, they probably attributed the fact that Lot had no male heirs to the fault of his wife. They don't even give lots wife a name. They just call her lot's wife and so she's a possession just as lots daughters are possessions. No names, just things that are owned by Lot.
