I doubt this will be read as I have asked questions numerous times and never got any answer. But here it goes anyway. I have studied many of the Books in the Dead Sea Scrolls and one of them being Enoch. Now Joe I have children older than you so you get an idea of my age. I have also studied Scripture since I was a teen and am now pushing 70.
Enoch is not the only one who did not die, Elijah also did not pass and oh wait there isone more who did not die that never gets mentioned as such and that is Melchizedek. Now I know many say oh they did not die because they were the most righteous men of the world, but I will tell you that God had a plan at the beginning of mans fall into sin. And those three men have purpose still.
Luk 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
So we read here that Elijah's spirit returned through John. So now when John was beheaded Elijah then gave up His flesh through the body of John. That was his prophecy. Now we have still two left Enoch and Melchizedek. What purpose is yet still to come of two who are sent to prophecy in Israel ? The two who are killed in the streets of Jerusalem and lay for three days and then rises from death ? The two witnesses could be Enoch and Melchizedek.
There is their prophecy being fulfilled. We have to remember God is infinte we cannot even begin to fathom His intelligence or His capabilities nor do I dare.
But this is just my understanding from ym studies and I welcome all thoughts. Shalom
No matter how much better things were on earth back then, nothing could be better than to be taken to be with God. Yes, Enoch was blessed.
i have a question for you. was Enoch descended from Adam? was Enoch a man?
if the answers to these questions is yes, then we can be CERTAIN that Enoch did die. just because scripture doesn't outline how he dies, scripture DOES outline that every man dies. it does so several times throughout scripture.
a few examples are 1 Cor 15:22, Heb 9:27, Eccl 9, Rom 5:12
one thing you can be assured of is everyone dies. Enoch is not an exception. nor is Elijah
