God have mercy on us. Probably some of us look like 'the fig tree in leaf from a distance Mark 11:13. We look like rich (Rev. 3:16-17), we say that we are rich (with oil reserves) and before going to sleep, we seem to have no information needs about/for the wedding. But the temptation to pretend that all is well and another snare to sleep while all lamps are burning, fail us to get help before hand.
The Master of the wedding is giving some counsel to us to buy from Him the oil/the salve, it is in abundance. Come one, come all with no money. N.B. He is the salesman: selling oil to us. This is the time to buy oil, use for ourselves, share (sharing is still allowed) and store enough for the great day.
The commotion of the great day will not allow sharing. Compare the great distress on the Titanic, the life saver boats were the oil much needed.
Once the Master stops selling the oil, He will come to the wedding. That is the 'delay' He sells His own oil to be used for His wedding. The door is closed because the five girls will not find genuine wedding oil/wedding garment🥼.
Helps us dear Lord, while we are in your presence (oil shop) to increase our attentiveness so that no oil spills, it all goes to the reserves and that we get enough to store for the dark season/disaster preparedness
