The son of perdition is not the antichrist, but an antichrist. People need to read 1John 2:18-19 to see that antichrists have come and John said it that day it is the last hour. Also read 1John 4:1-3 to see what else John says about the antichrist. Antichrist is a group not a single person. It's used like this, as when referring to all lions with the word lion. "the lion is a fierce animal" or "the antichrist denies Christ"
That's not what 1 Thess 5 is talking about. It's talking about when Jesus returns and the people who are crying "peace and safety" are the people in the mountains and the rocks (their bunkers) when the sudden destruction of Christ's vengeance comes upon them.
My thought has always been since i read the bible: this type of event will make a false rapture leading to the great apostasy
