Atlanta is a huge fuckin city. Its very black so keep those doors locked.
Chris saying the name was derived from the book Mr Crowes Garden is rather disingenuous, particularly when he later alludes towards the truer source which also stems from the same era, the very early 1900s, Alister Crowley, when he says ‘armchair occultist’. Chris is not an unknowing fan of Jimmy Pages’ reputed and often (inaccurately) depicted interest in the same.
As for Chris stating the Kob Kounty Krap is awesome. Rubin making that suggestion, given the era, might’ve just been being flippant, but I think Chris nailed it, thinking that he might well have been that type of mindset thinker about the peoples of the south. It’s not like they don’t frequently have that very down home white nationalist view.
The Cracke Blows just wasn’t cutting it.
Rick Rubin thinks he's an edgy genius, but the truth is he's just a lucky weirdo.
