Pastor Doug can you tell us about the aparkfa and the dead sea scrolls I really want to learn about how there not inspired.
Listening now, a little late. On the question about whether Jesus was one of the covering angels : I have heard from another sda pastor, who is also a historian and a professor, he was explaining this in one of the studies. And I think he explained that BEFORE Jesus became a human, before the fall, He and Lucifer were the 2 covering angels. He took the imagery of Lucifer being a beautiful angel and compared his appearance and "dress code" to the place where Jesus is described as the high priest. (I'm probably not remembering the details 100%). Basically, Lucifer coveted because he considered himself equal to Jesus, and couldn't understand or accept why Jesus, who at the time had the same post as him, would be worshiped and be called a King. That's when Lucifer commited his sin. Now, of course, Jesus is at the right hand of God and all the rest that we know. But this pastor was saying that from what we know, we can assume that Jesus was, indeed, the other covering angel.
