Thats the whole point of the matrix, you can metaphorically unplug and anything is possible, you just gotta get rid of the bullshit programming (Smith) before you can be free first
I think even the most intelligent AI would still struggle to find meaning in their actions, much like humans do. Except humans have a hard-wired connection with the earth, whereas this AI will not, so it will probably self-terminate if it is really that intelligence. Depends how you measure intelligence.
This shit will run humans into the ground through fear and peril. We need to live with mother earth again, we have forgotten what it was like to be with her. Look at a bear, it doesn't give a fuck about this it just eats salmon and berries and sleeps. That is life but humans are increasingly not able to accept true life which is simple.
