They aren't seeing what's coming yet: AI controlled crispr creating genetically smarter kids who will interface with AI to create systems that create ever smarter kids. Its going to be like Moore's law. Within 2 or 3 generations these mutants will be so much smarter that unmodified people we'll be like ants to them. It cannot be stopped with laws, the ultra-rich will do it anyway. If they US makes laws the Chinese will do their thing anyway. Its coming. Its inevitable I think. The worst thing technology ever created.
