Wouldn't editing the genomes to make yourself taller, or fitter, defeat the purpose of competition? Our world would just loose motivation to be more than they are WITHOUT technology, because honestly, how do they compete with someone who didn't even work for what they have in physical stature? Also the same principle applys for editing IQ points, the intelligence of a human. Of course these people would still have to work to know things, but imagine if an average human had the incredible gifts of a Savant?? I think that's a little over the line to be honest. :/
