"Why do you need to own an AK47?" Well if you want an actual AK47 you need a lot of paper work and money. If you want an AKM then you need a moderate amount of money and a little less paper work. As for why, because it makes the government sweat and keeps them up at night.
Joe, I don't agree with you about gun control. In states like Alabama,. Alaska and Louisiana, where guns are lightly regulated, the rate of deaths by firearms (per 100,000 people) is more than four times higher than in New York, Connecticut, Hawaii or Massachusetts, which have some of the strictest gun laws in the country.
A 2016 study found that Americans are 10 times more likely to be killed by guns than people in other developed countries.
Compared to 22 other high-income nations, the United States' gun-related murder rate is 25 times higher. This study shows that the US, which has the most firearms per capita in the world, suffers disproportionately from firearms compared with other high-income countries.
