Phil you put up with that? Wow you have to have self respect…..that's sad.
I've been revisiting News Radio lately and most of the truly laugh out loud moments were scenes with Phil. He had complete control of the screen. One weird thing I noticed is how often the writer's would allude to Bill being killed. After a while, it starts to become cringe worthy.
Everyone remembers where they were when they heard that Phil Hartman died. I was getting ready for work listening to Mark and Brian and they stopped the show to announce it. I remember people were in denial. They wanted to believe it wasn’t true. I’ve seen documentaries about Phil and what lead up to his death. He had his issues but it didn’t warrant the way he was treated by his wife. I’m sorry but I have no sympathy for her. Had she lived she would be sitting in prison right now. I think it goes a little deeper than they just didn’t get along. A brilliant light was taken from us in a selfish act!
